5 years ago , founder Sam Peery worked to create a product that would adapt to all people.

Nights were spent imagining ideas, building prototypes, testing materials, and pursuing a simple, more comfortable way to experience being outside. His wife Bree Peery helped bring those ideas to life, sleepless nights for years with learning to sew with countless physical burns (from the heat sealer) to trial and error to turn a vision into something real.

Dan Peery, Sam’s dad created the branding & design you now see today. Helping refine the tent with the inspiration of his background. Skateboarding, Snowboarding action sports is in the Peery DNA. Puffer is our way of expressing how we see the world, enjoy.

How do we spend more time enjoying the things we all crave?

Our roots come from skateboarding, snowboarding, motocross, motorsports, and a lifetime spent chasing experiences outside. Those worlds taught us that freedom isn't about owning more gear—it's about removing the barriers between you and the things you love.

That's why every PUFFER product is built around three principles:
